I spend a lot of time making these and I hope you truly enjoy your patch.

Please give your new patch a couple weeks to get accustomed to your face, particularly if this is your first eye patch. If your patch fits funny at first, try moving it around on your eye socket and try different places for the strap as well. All eye patches will fit everyone differently.

Here are a few tips to help make your new patch the perfect fit. I want you to have a patch you truly enjoy!

Sincerely, Charlie

~The patch has a low profile design, that is made to fit down in the eye socket, off the nose and fits behind most glasses while allowing room for your eyes and lashes.

DO NOT STRETCH THE PATCH LIKE AN ELASTIC PATCH. Your new patch is made of medical grade natural rubber and does not like to be stretched hard. It should sit on your head like a crown. Push it down on your head gently. Do not stretch it.

These patches are convex so there is room for your eye. The patch wraps around the temple and is very comfortable. You can bend the shell (gently now!) to fit the contours of your face.

The fancy new pin adjuster ensures a good fit for everyone from tiny heads to huge noggins.

Adjust it and forget it but also, worry not moms and dads, the strap is designed to break free when pulled hard so our little ones remain safe.

The pin adjustment may be a little strange at first but once you get it you should find it easy to adjust. Grab either end and fit it to your head. Take it back off. Then use your thumbs on the peg side to press the pegs into the holes. There are many ways to make an attachment but I wanted it to be kid safe.

I'll get a "how to" video out soon.

If your shell pops out, or the strap pops off, you have it too tight. Loosen the strap a few holes. The strap is not considered an "elastic" strap and should be worn just snug, not too tight.

It should slide down on your head like a crown. The patch is best if it sits up on the crest of the crown of your head. If you wear the strap low on the back of your neck, it may cause the patch to flip up on the cheek allowing light in. It can also cause the strap to fall into your other eye. Of course you can wear it however is best for you. These are just thoughts that will help with fitting.

Keep in mind the patch is made of quality medical grade rubber and should not be stretched like an elastic band. Adjust your patch to fit, then count back two or three holes and cut off the remaining strap length.

Please do not stretch your patch.

If the pegs are popping out or breaking off, you’ve got it too tight. If your shell is popping out, you need to calm down and recognize that you are stretching your patch. Don't do that. Try loosening the adjustments by one hole until the patch fits comfortably - Not too loose, not too tight. The patch should slide down on your head just snug, like a crown, not too tight.

There are many ways to make an adjustment strap but I wanted these to be kid safe.

OK, Does the patch fit perfectly? Great! If it seems to rock on your cheek and brow, not fitting flush to your face, try bending the shell. Gently at first. Don’t crease the shell. You can bend the shell for a better fit and to help block light. Enjoy

The padding is designed to allow the patch to breathe, while keeping out most of the harsh light. Made of high quality, ISO compliant, medical grade TPE. Not silicone. Should not be considered a medical device. Please consult your physician before use.
